Electrical Control Systems Engineer
An Electrical Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Coordinate layout and design of electrical systems
- Perform research and selection of electrical components
- Understand and conform to applicable electrical codes and standards (NFPA, UL)
- Create electrical drawings and schematics
- Complete bills of material for electrical systems
- Programming of PLC’s
- Evaluate and implement electrical design changes
- Provide technical training on electrical systems to our technicians and our customers
- Provide support to Sales, Service, and Manufacturing teams
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related study or 10+ years of experience
- Thorough understanding of:
- Electrical relationships such as voltage, current, power, and AC/DC
- Electronic circuitry and electrical schematics
- Machine programming practices
- PLC programming and ladder logic (Allen Bradley)
- Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed, and ratios
- Hydraulic relationships such as pressure, flow, and power
- Experience using CAD Software to develop and detail electrical designs
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
